Fall flavors are back in full force, and we are giddy with excitement at their return! Everyone's fave, Maple Houjicha, is flying off the shelf with particular quickness at the tea house. We'll have to refill that jar a LOT this season! 🍁☕

Brother arrived from Japan bearing goodies.
Not pictured: 5kg of houjicha (roasted green tea), six bags of Milky hard candy, bunch of Mintia mints, box of Hato Sable cookies.
Gonna be even more non-productive than usual for a week or so.

It's cold as FRICK in Seattle this weekend and I'm so not into it.
Pro tip: Maple Houjicha + a touch of maple syrup + a glug of heavy cream or coconut cream. It helps.

Tonight's #tea is Kokuto Houjicha from Lupicia (Japanese tea brand). It's a karigane houjicha (roasted green tea made of mostly stems) with Okinawan dark brown sugar & rum flavor and is an Okinawa exclusive tea. The flavor is toasty with an almost caramel sweetness & hint of rum. Very enjoyable.
