My brother's moving out in a few days and I bought him a couple gifts to celebrate… does that make them housecooling gifts?

Can you bring a housecooling gift? It's already pretty hot here

a party for when you move out where you ask all your friends to come over and take something you’re not bringing to the new place

definitely having a housecooling before I move, where people come over and take things away with them
