Saw a bigger hardware channel on YouTube do a Steam Machine reaction video and their big counterargument to the HDMI-CEC bit is that you can attach one of these to your HTPC and I think you misunderstand the appeal of the machine, playboy.

Finally retiring my 2010-era rackmount HTPC running Windows8 Home Theater. A passive Pentium board with a local SSD and Blu-ray drive for ripping. Removing SSD for destruction before ewaste. (Old tower photos)
Terrible cooling and design honestly but a niche quiet option.

Spent 20 minutes uninstalling microsoft bloatware. Ran windows update. Everything I uninstalled has been re-installed.
All Microsoft employees should be flayed alive.

I do miss the old timey concept of “going on the computer” after school or on a lazy Sunday, to see what the latest games on Newgrounds were or checking out Albinoblacksheep or Homestar Runner animations
Now however I try to never use a full computer in my off hours. I don’t count my HTPC tho.
