websockets was 2011, http3 + quic was 2022, wireguard was 2015, and so on

32 parallel server instances, with reusePort=2, simple hello world benchmark on localhost (h2load to node.js quic).. roughly 2 million http3 req/s ... not a bad result. No errors, no memory leaks, no crashes. That's enough perf tuning for the day.

I’m accidentally writing a new book on modern networking (QUIC, HTTP3, Sans-IO) There was a gap in the literature. Networking content is either a decade old or RFCs which aren’t always easy reads. A main thread is upending the network layer orthodoxy to meet modern app needs.

Seeing QUIC implementations popping up in both Node and Deno is interesting.

HTTP2, was a bit of a dud, maybe HTTP3 will actually have a noticeable impact.
