We have dehumidifiers for spring (when it rains) and summer (when it's humid), and humidifiers for winter, when the air is too cold to hold any moisture in it. Verily, the midwest has it all.
As someone who has lived all her life in California, it never occurred to me that other places would have DEhumidifying machines. I have learned something new today.

I used to call these "research holes", then realized they are hyperfixations and a symptom of my severe ADHD. My most recent ones were high-end iPod speaker docks and humidifiers.
