every tiny clang
piping heating up
creaking floorboards
nervous system adapts
fight-or-flight response
ignored
with sweaty palms
yet the colleague
giving you jump scares
crossing the halls
needs a taste of
his own medicine
hummmingbirds
cradling his heart

One day when we’re lighting one up in your backyard (🤣)
Remind me to tell ya the story about my brother, near his departure, and the hummmingbirds. 🥰

As a thunderstorm went by us, it was lighly raining late evening and our ruby throated hummmingbirds came to eat. I was so excited as I had 4 of them at one of my feeders! They were so fun to watch as the ate and chased each other for about half an hour.

Does anyone who lives on the peninsula of Halifax ever see hummmingbirds?

My grandparents lived there and I don’t remember seeing them.

There aren’t many sightings on the map, though I’m sure there are probably more than shown.

Looks like one veered off course over the Atlantic….😬😬🤣🤣
