I have always wanted to create big video projects with my friends since I really enjoyed filmmaking/editing in middle school. While my style and content would be different, I feel like this interview would hit on the same constraints of informal filmmaking. #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

presenting elements from everyday life in an unfamiliar way is a big part of our sme's #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

need to relate the visuals even remotely to the plot or the audio for sme4, matching the mismatch as patty said #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

I love the description of the process! It’s so hard to figure out how to combine everything the more mediums you add.

#interviewwithpatty #hwa7 I love the description of in between no and full relation. That’s a great way to look at it and get started brainstorming very helpful!

the filming of painted dreams is a great example of maximising the tools at your disposal, i loved how patty explained how the filming came about #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty It was very inspirational to learn that we really don't need that much money to create art. They found a way and time to get it done.

i really enjoy how happy patty is to discuss any aspect of the creation of this series, no matter if its a hard topic or a funny aspect of it #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

and getting them to think about it. It forced me out of a passive watch. It forced me to think about how I was watching Painted Dreams prior to the realization. #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

“it was beautiful to break the illusion” i really enjoyed that, because that thinking is why we have weird four wall breaks in shows. flea bag being one of my favs. #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty When Patty descibes how it was "hard" to describe what came first the visuals or the narrative, I feel like the answer Patty responded as the visuals were inspirations for the actual narriation.

I liked what Patty said about questioning order. Art that's been or will be made shouldn't have order. Staying curious is an art. Also, Fast and the Furious is kind of a soap opera. #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty this defintion of real was interesting. i dont know how to classify something as real anymore, but the moment described is. i guess something real is something that is unexpected and you just react instinctively

Caught this too! I noticed the toilet paper showing up constantly, and while I didn't fully understand why it was there, I did presume it was because of Procter & Gamble trying to sell its products. #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty She describes that this is a "documentary of fiction." I feel like this is true but I feel like the documentary part shows its' moments throughout with some questionable parts that may not fit that description.

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty looks like we're going to dance for our final project! this advice was actually pretty helpful though, i think i was too comfortable in my sme3, but i have to learn how to get out of it

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty the way patty decsibes the anti environment as alienation is really interesting, to oresnr ta regukar thing in an irregular way. make the audience feel like smth is off to make them think more dur to the discomfort

"You are already an artist."
#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty

To be honest, this goes hand in hand with the previous talk in the video that details who is privileged to succeed in certain arts. Who benefits from creating these genres and labels, etc.?

#hwa7 #interviewwithpatty The biggest thing I took away is how limitations actually helped her. No budget, no team, limited space but that’s what shaped the creativity. It’s kind of reassuring because it shows you don’t need perfect conditions to make something meaningful.

MLA format (sorry, not sorry). Still, I am curious about what will come, but I think I may approach this without an exact plan and see where the surprise takes me. After that, I am free, like usual, to make changes. #hwa7 #interviewwithpatty
