#geography #hydroclimatology #ClimateChange

Ireland is one of Europe's wettest countries, so why are hundreds of thousands of people being told not to use hosepipes?

The coteau is a "subtle" uplift across the eastern side of the state extending from around I-90 to the ND-SD border. It also has a heavy matrix of glacial lakes that in the early 90s had a sudden and fast growth to its new current state. It's a great example of a tipping point in hydroclimatology.
