Dr. Jen's Superpaste is a legit product and good alternative for people who might have a hard time getting rx-strength fluoride paste. Jen's has a therapeutically appropriate amount of hydroxyapatite and fluoride in it. No Rx needed because we don't regulate hydroxyapatite in the US.

Some fish have what are called "ganoid scales", coated in 'apatite crystallites' (ganoine) that are nearly identical to the hydroxyapatite in your teeth enamel.

There are combination formulas that show promise, but fluoride already does a good enough job that the hydroxyapatite isn’t really worth it.
In fact, the enamel that is remineralized by fluoride is stronger and more resistant to erosion than hydroxyapatite!

Hydroxyapatite is actually good though? (I live in a city with fluoridated water and my dental hygienist was delighted to learn I use hydroxyapatite toothpaste, I’m by no means anti-fluoride, I just don’t think they need to be pitted against each other lol)
