#hyperalert
Four Poop Pepe loves a woodland walk, so that’s what we did. He flies ahead, ears streaming back, on hyperalert for squirls

- constructing our society so there's time for it
- not feeling guilty about it
- not fearing missing out
- just literally doing it instead of pointlessly ruminating or being totally inexplicably hyperalert
- gripped by something we don't even enjoy on telly

From every angle we're just SHIT at it.

Oprecht respect voor deze levenshouding. Ik ben een hyperalert mens.

My heart goes out to this young lady. Every Black woman knows what this feels like-to be surrounded by those who wish you harm+ no guarantee of societal defense- your spine stiffens as you become hyperalert- a horrid feeling, esp if you're physically smaller. Honestly, partly why I started muay thai

Found the catnip while organizing my room yesterday, and gave all three cats some.

Kali, my usually hyperalert and high boundary baby is currently sleeping, rag-doll relaxed, while laying on my towel on the side of the tub... ripping the biggest farts ever.

It’s been almost 48 hours since I had my burst appendix removed. I am crazy tired but kind of hyperalert. It’s a weird feeling.

Sometimes I don't even know if I'm overly hyperalert or if people are just genuinely excessively critical of every benign thing I do

The electricity jumping between the probe in my ass and the stickers on my hips was like...

God, how do I even describe it???

Pain and pleasure mixed into a signal racing through blood and tissue that sets your nervous system into a confused and hyperalert state that leaves your hips bucking.

Although one must be on hyperalert for nostalgia & rose-colored glasses, it's possible that the post-1965 (& pre-Shelby) multiracial democratic order was indeed democratically healthy in ways that hid the potential for dysfunction those same institutions were capable of, which we see clearly today.

Very fair review of Meslier. Totally agree. Also feel that his own goal could have happened to anyone and we're just a bit hyperalert to any mistake.

Luckily, they're easy to spot since they display no identification, wear masks, are out of shape and overarmed, are generally out of position and unalert toward actual threats but hyperalert to political opposition, are easily stampeded, wear a ragtag mix of street clothes, and are easily provoked.

"EXHAUSTED", "HYPERALERT" should be added too sad

That's a perfect way to express it. Having to be hyperalert to assess risks is literally PTSD.
I’m so fucking tired of having to do damage control with what I interface with.

It's sheer torture.

I've spent 40+ yrs working w/therapists/counselors w/limited success.

Neurodivergence is a curse for me. It's how my brain is wired-hyperalert to all potential threats/possibilities. Constant fight/flight & overdeveloped pattern recognition is exhausting.

Highly recommend Christie period but if you are hyperalert and super suspicious, these books may exhaust you into normalcy and wouldn’t that be nice for everyone

I liked that he put it in a frame of reference anyone could understand while also explaining the emotional exhaustiveness of it all. When you're on hyperalert all the time, it breaks you down in so many ways.
