Hard to describe as a journalist how grateful I am to have a text-based app that does not suppress hyperlinks. I don’t know if people realize exactly how hostile the corporate internet has gotten toward news.

It turns out that hyperlinks are good and useful, who knew?
There’s an even more simple explanation that they won’t acknowledge.
X is broken. It doesn’t show you the content you want to read. It doesn’t show you the people you want to follow. It doesn’t cover the topics you’re interested in.
It serves no use for journalists, academics and think tankers.

There is a fundamental misunderstanding among the usual suspects (Morgan, Hodges, etc) that people are 'surrendering' or 'deplatforming themselves' by leaving X. Nobody is obligated to stay then the algorithm is fixed against you and exposes you to hate and extreme content. This is not 'free speech'
