If you’re really sensitive to bleach, you might want to investigate hypochlorous acid and a hypochlorous generator. They’re not cheap, but it is now better stabilized than it used to be, so you can buy it in bottles (usually online.) It has a faint chlorine odor, but it’s 180° away from bleach.

i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts

i now have to live like a hippie (except for the stinkiness; thank you, hypochlorous acid) and i hate it. we clean a lot of surfaces in our house with only vinegar or hypochlorous acid. i do things like search "hypochlorous acid mouthwash." i have to buy toothpaste and floss made for children. i—

If you MUST do sprouts, grow them at home, for the first soak of the seeds (the 12 hour starting soak) use hypochlorous acid at at least 200 ppm to kill any bacteria on the seeds, then use known good water, wash your hands at every step, and do a final hypochlorous soak before eating.

If you MUST do sprouts, grow them at home, for the first soak of the seeds (the 12 hour starting soak) use hypochlorous acid at at least 200 ppm to kill any bacteria on the seeds, then use known good water, wash your hands at every step, and do a final hypochlorous soak before eating.

it's 100% safe on food, skin, open wounds, around the eye, in the mouth
it's produced from plain water, using electrolysis.
unlike bleach, it fades away to nothing & leaves no residue
