Oh, I believe you! Even though there's still bits and bobs to set up... collectibles, mostly... things have calmed down round here, but social media hasn't been as pressing of a need as it used to be. I chalk it up to the lack of Dolls and iDollators on Bluesky, so hopefully that'll change!...

You're spot on with that. I remember some Japanese iDollators expressing concern as to the muskover (that term is accurate/awful) in the site's efficiency, but they don't seem to have any idea as to how much of a fucking shitbird Phony Stark is, both on and off the site.

I think we'll slowly get back to having a huge group of fellow Dolls and iDollators, as well as other interesting accounts... it's just going to take a while to prise certain people out of Xitter's cold dead hands. :-|

That's really the only reason I maintain a Twitter account is because it's still a (regrettably)good window into the international dollverse. I'm axing Instagram because it doesn't even have that, most idollators are shadowbanned, AND it's a pain to post.

This is one of the many days where I wish all the Japanese iDollators on Twitter migrated over here. I'm not even saying 'leave Twitter' (but it's implied), but just being able to maintain connections with them is something that would help the few iDollators here feel part of the global community.

Ha! DolLApalooza was a get-together that various members of Our Doll Community used to do back in the early 2010s. We'd visit the four Doll studios that were in LA - Abyss, Sinthetics, Mechadoll, and Ruby13 - meet other iDollators, do touristy crap, take photos, and have A Lovely Time™. Fun stuff!

There are loads of people and accounts that I enjoyed interacting with still on Twitter; mainly Japanese iDollators who aren't privy to the horrible state of American politics. But unfortunately I've not interacted with them since mid-2023, cos I'll never use that site again.

I think at some point, loads of iDollators go through the same experience. There was a Chinese company that made a Doll with removable skin that seems to have released two models, sold at least one, and never responded to my enquiries. BOOOOOO. :-(
