For perspective, the Apple M3 Pro iGPU can run Cyberpunk at 1080p around 60FPS, upscaled with all the raytracing bells and whistles turned off.
That's about what AMD's Ryzen 7040 mobile iGPU can do, and that's from 2023.

I agree it’s expensive because AI SLOP BROS RUIN EVERYTHING.
You can’t blame Valve. It’s genuinely the cheapest PC you can get rn for gaming. (Prebuilt @ Retail)
In the UK, nothing even comes with a good iGPU at that price!

ok for some reason avowed is not using my GPU and afaik my CPU (5900X) does not have a visible iGPU. booted Warframe and it runs smooth as butter on my 3090 so .... ????????

TLAS stress test in tinybvh: 15*15*15 dragons for a grand total of nearly 3 billion triangles. Approx. 15 fps on Intel Iris Xe iGPU.

Just so you know, you do not need to make your own engine to have a game that runs well on low end! Even Unreal can be optimized to run on an Intel igpu thinkpad my wife got used for 100 bucks.

Wanted to play the game Pharaoh (1999) on 15 y/o Thinkpad under Linux. But it doesn't support widescreen res by default.
The mod for widescreen needed a shader that couldn't compile on the iGPU because it was too old.
Claude Opus 4.7 wrote a CPU-compiling shader to insert there instead.
