Finally, successfully baked #sourdough #bagels. 🥯
Lesson learned: It pays to use a happy, active starter. I'd baked sourdough bagels a few times before, but they were always too tough & stodgy. But with a new perky starter, they finally worked!🔥

I made shortbread this afternoon; the plan is to take it to site tomorrow to brighten up a meeting, but it is soooo crumbly and fragile that I'm not sure it will survive the journey 😬
