For big brands, I might agree with you. For “The Internet”, no.
What I mean by “enshittification”
• AI content farms make money from ad clicks, spoil search
• News, esp. local media, is almost unreadable on mobile
• Lack of privacy protections, mostly because $$
• ISPs/IAPs zero-rating|fast lanes

It's very telling that stuff like apple arcade games have to be cordoned off into their own thing and explicitly advertised as not having ads or IAPs, and even then, the sword of damocles called "delisting" is always hanging above them

Removing the monetization aspect of gambling / corrosive F2P mechanics / etc doesn't actually address the harm those types of games do, and the resultant "dopamine games" being the default engagement of choice for wide swaths of the populace is a condemnation of our way of life
