#knitsky #mtihat the hat is done and drying out from blocking. Pre blocking picture here (I made three icords at the crown, 4 stitches each cord, then knotted the cords together, braided the cords, then knotted the cords together again). This one was in worsted weight and US size 8 needle

I got a kid (he’s almost 29 now but was 19 when we met) in my poly divorce and we talk on the phone every Sunday and today while he told me his newest story idea I heat-pressed a shirt design and carved a cute bug and made some icords for my dress.

My daughter and I made some #valentine necklaces for my three nieces. I knit the hearts and she made the icords. ❤️🥰 I needed a #knitting distraction yesterday and this was the thing. (I put a tiny bit of lavender in them) Here’s the free pattern: inmysoappot.co.nz/2022/01/30/f...

Picked up again this month, it all made sense now and I flew through it. Really happy with the result.

I caved just 2 days ago and ordered 2.25mm circular needles for magic loop sock ribbing, bc the 4 rnds on DPN I did with my last sock nearly made me throw them against the wall...again.
I only use single DPN for picking up very tiny stitches or icords

I’ve loved knitting this one, I wish I could properly express how soft and magic it is to touch. It’s two yarns knitted together: a pure merino held with kid silk that makes it super soft and gives it a fluff aura

I'm interrupting my WIP to post this baby cardi, Baby Novus by Laura Nelkin. It has internal and external ties, and the construction is intricate - icords all over and a unique sideways construction. I don't usually make baby items, but my cousin's daughter just had her 4th little girl. #knitsky

Likewise, for anyone with dexterity issues; if you struggle with long edges of knitted icords; you might find the crochet version quicker and easier; it will look exactly the same 🥰 🧶

Doing 4 icords at once was a success - No counting!
Now to look up how to bind off again. I don't knit enough.
