I might be spoiled from other otome games, but Yashiro's route was kinda dull and filled with information we already knew from other routes.

Why does the final romance route retread so much ground without much new?

Late Yori route dialogue!

Yori sure gave me the heebie jeebies throughout his route, but
this moment was quite interesting!
Well written asshole.

Yori is standing infront a burning field of flowers. Yori is saying with a tired expression: "I just loathe people. I'm sure you can't imagine what that feels like..." Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is standing in front a burning field of flowers. Yori is saying with a serious expression: "The people of this world seem so artificial that it makes me sick. Everyone goes about life being ruled by one thing or another. They're no different from puppets."

Finished Yori's Route!
Well. That sure was something, huh?
Like a traincrash in slowmotion, like being stuck in a grooming victims head...
That was so uncomfortable!
I tip my non-existent hat to the writer for the dread this made me feel lol

Karatachi is asking the question everyone is thinking lol
Yori and Tsuwabuki are complete opposites and I can't think of a single reason to marry Yori over Tsuwabuki.

#IllusionOfItehari
Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Tsuwabuki and Karatachi are shown with serious expressions. Karatachi is saying: "I gotta say, I'm really surprised. With you choosing Yori, that is. What's wrong with Tsuwabuki?"

Hinagiku shooting back is fun!

Though yeah I suppose being an open asshole is easier with people you meet often.

Not that I have seen many people Yori isn't an asshole to lol
Also "teasing" eh?

#IllusionOfItehari
Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is shown smiling while Hinagiku is saying: "But you're one to talk! How can you lecture me about etiquette while having none?" Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is shown in thought while saying: "If I'm going to be having a surface-level, superficial relationship with someone, then sure, I'll act harmless and inoffensive." Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is smiling while saying: "But I don't intend on putting up a front with the person I'll be marrying. I'll tease you plenty, and I definitely won't be minding my manners."

Alrighty, it's time for Yori!

Rotting can of worms love interests can only be entertaining ✌️

Whether I will actually like his route will depend on execution though.

Finished Tsuyukusa's route!

Mhmm I'm lukewarm on it.
I think I would've enjoyed it more if it was more "Show, don't tell"?

I really like Tobari!
Down to earth, driven and caring.
He is playing with fire, but I say let him!

Finished Awayuki's Route!

It was alright, I guess? Very lowkey.
It had a lot of good elements but didn't use them to their full potential, so it wasn't as dramatic and exciting as it could've been.
But it also didn't bore me.

Yori is just as much of a bastard as I heard lol

He certainly makes for a good, unpredictable villain.

He is so good at being in your face, insulting you and then threaten you into doing his bidding.

A cop who can make you disappear legally if you defy him is terrifying!

#IllusionOfItehari
Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is saying with a serious expression: "You, too. How about learning your place a little better? You think you're equals with us nobles just because you're the delegate of the entertainment district?" Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is saying with a serious expression: "Mongrels like you shouldn't be scavenging outside of your trash heap." Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is saying to Awayuki with a serious expression: "You're supposed to be watching over her, right? If you can't manage her properly, why don't you just put a leash in her?" Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Yori is saying with neutral expression: "On top of that, you had the nerve to criticize my personality when I was in the middle of my job."

To no one's surprise: Itehari is an oppressive hell hole!

And of course the organisation given authority over "disappearing people" are abusive as hell.

Nice realism 😔
#IllusionOfItehari
Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Hinagiku is explaining to Yashiro: "To Put it simply... Criminals are captured and banished from Itehari to the Abyss." Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Hinagiku is narrating: "Was that anyone without the right connections to vouch for them could be spirited away. The Kurozuru was given that executive power." Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Tsuyukasa is saying with a serious expression: "It's an open secret that the Kurozuru uses force in their investigations and are violent against their suspects." Screenshot of Illusion of Itehari. Shown is a dictionary entry of "banned literature". It says: Itehari's banned books are decided by the Ryuei for the purpose of censorship. They include records of the surface, especially those that paint it in a favorable light."

Awayuki is like a combination of tropes I love and tropes I don't care for.

These quotes are to die for for me as a Mistress x Servant lover, but I don't care for him distancing himself from Hinagiku
or his brand of jealousy/overprotectiveness 😅

Let's see if the 18+ rating is justified this time or if it's another baffling decision.
