「expo'74, World's Fair」(USA)
1974年、ワシントン州スポケーン（Spokane, Washington）で開催された特別博覧会。参加団体は10と小規模だったが環境をテーマにした最初の万博だとされる。なお、北米の博覧会ペナントは、"expo" よりも"World's Fair" と表記されるのが一般的のようだ。
これは不織布製、全長37cmの小型ペナント。太陽と気球、草花を華やかに描く。比較的に珍しい作品。

1, スポケーン万博のペナント、縦型バナー。不織布にイラストをプリント。 2, タイトルは英文、"expo'74, World's Fair" 。キャプションは "Spokane, USA" 。博覧会のシンボルマークはメビウスの輪をモチーフにしていて、環境を表す緑・水色・白で構成されている。 3, イラストは笑顔の太陽が描かれた気球、旗を振る星条旗柄の手、花壇。 4, ペナントの左（バナー上）に紐を型どった装飾と、製品タグが一体化されている。これは1970～90年代頃の北米で多かった不織布ペナント "Impko" （インプコ）のタイプだが、この作品にインプコの表記はない。

「耶馬溪」(やばけい、大分県)
中津市の渓谷。国:名勝。日本三大奇勝のひとつとも。
これは代表的景観、山国川と青の洞門を描く。川に沿った洞門(トンネル)が美しい。
この作品はアメリカのブランドImpkoの不織布ペナントのデザインを引用していて興味深いが、これは化繊にフロック,プリント加工である。全長65cm。

1, 耶馬溪のペナント。白い布にイラストをプリント。アメリカの不織布ペナント(Impko)のデザインを引用した造り。 2, ペナントの左に紐の替わりに突起を付けている。また、布地のダイカットによる商品タグが付いている。 イラストは青の洞門を水彩スケッチ風に描いたもの。 3, イラストと商品タグの拡大。スケッチ風に描かれた青の洞門と、完全に英文で書かれるキャプション。タグのデザインとキャプションの内容はほとんどImpkoの引用になっている。 4, タイトルは和文。端正にアレンジされた漢字で"耶馬溪"。３つの漢字は一文字づつ赤,緑,青で彩色されてカラフルな印象。サブタイトルは黒で"青の洞門"。

This is the pennant for Anchorage in Alaska. This pennant depicts the city of Anchorage and "Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport". It also depicts the state flower, the Forgetmenot, the Big Dipper and the North Star.
1970s, #vintage .
Anchorage pennant. Illustration printed on non-woven fabric. Colorful, detailed illustration of the city and international airport, etc. Title in English, "Anchorage" in italics. The logo design is powerful and bold gothic. The Big Dipper and Polaris stars that hang over the logo are motifs from the Alaskan state flag. Die-cut ribbon and product tag. Manufacturer credit is "©️Impko, FAIR LAWN N.J. 1974".

これは街と国際空港の俯瞰を描く。添えられた花は州花・ワスレナグサ。北斗七星と北極星(州旗)、ホッキョクグマなど極地らしいモチーフが面白い作品。全長約63cm、不織布製。
