#inattentive
If you park directly in front of a building you a) have to wait to open your door to make sure you don't kill a cyclist or get killed by an inattentive driver and b) have no incentive to walk about and find new businesses and things.

The crayons being lil guys and the daydreaming all track with my experience of untreated inattentive ADHD got the Dx at 27 and meds made all the difference

As a grandmother I keep thinking, I hope their parents are so proud of them. I hope they see who and what they raised in these “men”/monsters. I hope these “men”/monsters bring ruin to their family name. Money buys nothing but trouble for inattentive parents and coddlers at this level of society.

I agree but it's flipped around, they aren't thinking about it from the "bad things can still happen to me" angle, they're thinking about it as the driver. They know themselves to be inattentive, speeding, and reckless, and they're clamoring for an excuse because they know they might do this.

"Wh- Oh my! Oh, good heavens..!"
The previously-inattentive housewife, having finally noticed that slight tickling sensation, lifts her chubby foot and gingerly pulls you free from the wrinkles embedded around your thankfully intact ant-sized form.
"I'm ever so sorry! Please forgive me, little one!"

We did expensive assessments for dyslexia for my daughter and inattentive ADHD for my son. I could talk about school response to a dyslexia diagnosis for a long time.

My son was not recommended meds for his ADHD, but he's older, and can work on his behaviors. That's super hard for a first grader.

Exactly this situation, plus the additional stress from having to stand my motorbike on its front wheel when an inattentive schoolkid stepped into the road in front of me without looking. "Your BP is a bit high today" - Yeah, really..! 🤣

Now, those women may be particularly inattentive, but I think ADHDers deserve integrity as well 😛

For sure. The next doctor I saw said that the diagnostic criteria my first psychologist used were outdated and that they could confidently diagnose me with Inattentive type ADHD.

Inattentive presentations were far less likely to trigger a referral, because the system was built to notice disruption first. New piece on ADHD in women and AFAB adults.

I rabbit hole that shit & learn as much as I can about it before the dopamine runs out 😅

But usually it's like... a band, or a tv show, or a craft hobby or something.... ARCHITECTURE feels a little out-of-my-league for my particular brand of AuDHD (I'm REAL HEAVY on the inattentive ADHD part) lol

You might display signs of inattention, hyperactivity, or both.

Symptoms typically manifest before age 12.

ADHD is often less recognised in females, possibly because they tend to exhibit inattentive traits, which are less noticeable than hyperactivity.

And that cognitive act is precisely what I *don’t* want outsourced to an AI, even one run by someone less shady than Zuck.

There’s a whole category of grift that simply involves sending invoices to companies for work you never did and counting on inattentive clerks to send back checks.

my only Black boss was at panera, and he didn't like me either, but i was also peak undiagnosed inattentive adhd annoying and it was probably justified

Thank you Comms Officer Doug Eiffel from a combined inattentive-hyperactive bitch!!!

The inarticulate leading the inattentive...USA! USA!

Seeing @ladyemily.nebula.tv going through it lately has had me thinking the same thing. I just also am so forgetful and inattentive sometimes that I really need to take that it.

I was rewatching early Spongebob for video edits last year, and the show is better today than when it came out I swear.

YES YESSSSSS!! Dallas drivers need to be humbled, they’re too comfortable being inattentive

I'm luckier, I last 20 minutes, then inattentive ADHD draws a blanket over whatever's being said. But if I'm painting, I last for hours...
My big character flaw is that I cannot pay attention to anything when I'm sitting down without interacting.

I fall asleep in every talk, I don't retain a word a teacher says, I get so restless waiting for my turn in DnD that I forget what happened, I have no idea what doctors told me to do

It's still better odds than travelling on the roads though. Suicidal pilots are rare, gormless, inattentive drivers are not.
September 30, 2026 at 8:08 AM
Apparently "gormless" etymologically means "heedless; inattentive" so the lesson is don't call ADHD bitches gormless (as we are ontologically incapable of doing wrong) but it's absolutely fine to call anyone else
"gormless" gotta be one of my favorite insults. you lack gorm bro!!!! go get some fucking gorm!!!!!!

CW and TW: Very Likely NDE In A Truck

Some inattentive asshole behind the wheel of a pickup truck did a sudden and illegal turn and nearly struck the truck. Dad was driving and we avoided a fatal accident by a few inches. My life flashed before my eyes and I thought for sure I would awaken in Hell.
