I will add that this political incongruity in when/whether to seek the death penalty is one of the big reasons it should be abolished.
I don’t support the death penalty, but if we must have it, it’s utterly appalling that potus openly supports it for Kirk and not for the assassination of Minnesota Dem State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband (with their dog). Rather, many on the right celebrated Hortman’s death.

Zane was one of those people who was born to be a reporter. He couldn't turn it off, even in a social setting. He'd see an incongruity, any incongruity, and compulsively try to get to the bottom of it.

"... a classically Trumpian tonal incongruity; for all the darkness, note the humor."

President Trump's new official portrait shows him with a neutral expression moderated by a slight warmth in the eyes — a classic pose some call "smizing," our critic at large writes.
President Trump’s New Portrait: This Time He’s in Full Frame
The official photograph of the president’s second term has the gloss of his 1980s architecture, but its A.I.-like haze is pure 2025.

There’s this weird incongruity where support of Palestine is something only online leftists care about and therefore it’s not worth the Democratic Party adopting into their campaigning but also support of Palestine was a big enough roadblock to lose the election and that’s online leftists’ faults

as a black comedy, someone should write a version of WWI leadup that has social media. Don't bother about incongruity of fitting 21st century social media tech into early 1900s. Just imagine what it would have been like

Nothing captures the incongruity of the outgoing administration like "I'm going to preemptively pardon this large group of people from the political vengeance wrought by .. the guy I'm going to share pleasantries and a limo ride with at 10:30."

i genuinely think there's a PhD somewhere on flower arranging in churches and the incongruity between the respect it's afforded vs the actual significance of the role that it plays
I am very disappointed that people are doing culture wars on this, and I’m also very irritated by the people arguing that this doesn’t matter. I think there’s a certain amount of unconscious misogyny at play - it is actually an important part of the life of the church with a considerable impact.

It’s going to be very hard for Europe to hold the incongruity of criticising Russia for invading Ukraine and doing nothing while Israel invades Lebanon.

I have not heard CNN or MSNBC utter a single syllable about Trump's 6-day disappearance and all the associated strangeness, incongruity, and inconsistency accompanying it. Not even to just say it happened. This is normalization on steroids.
