Very interesting new paper out in PNAS looking at Long COVID and whether COVID-19 really causes all of the long-term issues we think it does.

The paper calls into question quite a bit about what people think Long COVID *is*.

they’re calling it the most normal and informative interview in history, folks
HALEY STEVENS: Anderson, this is a broader point about what's going on in our party

COOPER: It's actually not. It's really just a question of why you changed your mind

STEVENS I haven't cast my vote yet

COOPER: So you might change your mind again?

A-level trolling that’s informative
The Senate race between Jon Ossoff and Mike Collins gives us good material to illustrate two common problems with men's trousers, which most people miss when shopping.

chuck's apple samplings and reviews are informative, amusing, and very seasonal right about now. soothing, even
I reviewed a new apple to me -- the Star Lady, or Api Etoile, or Funfeckapfel -- and it looks like a Super Mario power-up.

And no, I don't know why Bluesky refuses to preview images from my posts anymore, it's very annoying.

The replies on this very serious and informative tailoring thread prove that it was also informative in a very unserious way the men-inclined may want to check out

We lost our dear friend FBRef Pressing Metrics some years ago now. @nrgilman.bsky.social tried to create something as informative with what we've got left.

#GreenParty
It seems war is coming to the Green Party.

This war is a familiar one. Something similar (but not quite the same) played out in the Labour party in 2015-2019.
The dominant liberal tendency in the Green Party has been supplanted by the socialist tendency and they aren't going to take it laying down.

Were you by any chance listening to Justin Webb reporting from Maine? The most informative bit was about the colours of the New England fall, I thought.

They also did a nice story on the front page about Trump’s mental health, but one story, however informative, isn’t enough to tell people what to think about.
