Inproc, ambachtelijke koffiebranderij en theehandel, Denneweg 55, Den Haag.

Bijna droog gehouden, hele lekkere thee gescoord bij Inproc (ze hebben ook koffie), taartjes gegeten, de wiebelige Binnenhof uitkijktoren beklommen en bij Esher op bezoek geweest. Was fijn!

Nu zeikende regen en twee honden die miepen dat ze eruit willen. En we moeten nog een restaurant uitzoeken 😆

That’s funny, I get exactly the opposite experience 😆 Maybe that’s because my extension is a DLL surrogate-based InProc server. There’s no way to control when Explorer unloads it, so even after unregistering it, it’s not guaranteed to be released. With MSIX it gets released right away.

The in process is probably the easiest to understand and customize but also the least similar to the socket ones

In our unix sockets case we are cheating a bit because it's a quasi native feature of grpc in go. Requiring just a custom dialer that connects the Unix socket.

For your InProc server, did you check if DllCanUnloadNow is getting called, and that it returns the proper result to signal it can be unloaded?
