Yyyyyyyyeeeeeeaaaaah, i got some major beef with the evangelical interpretatation of Corinthians 13:11 and how its been used over time to shame people away from things that bring joy. Talk about cherry picking the Bible. 🙄
Said this on the other app but we rly need to normalize that growing up = becoming a person with the money to afford childhood interests. The idea that you have to suddenly stop caring about cute or joyful things when you turn 18 is the reason so many ppl are so fucking miserable for 60 years after

I hate probabilities in general. I totally understand the basic urge to just throw gaussian regression at binary/ordered variables because interpretatation is just so much easier (even if the results are wrong).

i prefered it when it was left with the refs and linesman to make decisions, if there was the rare error it was down to human error in gametime just like it is with the players; all part of the game. goal line tech - okay as thats instant and not open to interpretatation

Loose interpretatation imo, but I'm sure they mean well. With that said, my ancestors were enslaved when the constitution was written, so I have about as much faith in it as I have in winning the lottery.

And the entire Curse of Ham myth is a bullshitty wrong interpretatation of an incindent from the Book of Genesis, ch. 9. To cut long story short, Ham's not cursed, but his son Canaan Ham got with his mother in an attempt to make a coup d'etat against Noah as the clan leader.

So Trump will not succeed in running for a 3rd term (likely using some version of Tribe's interpretatation)? I think that's the point/concern here, not the constitutional spirit/intent. Amelia Bedelia be damned.

in this special case, i mentioned the paradox of tolerance, because MAGA's are always complaining, that no one wants to debate with them, but simply block them. i think, it's absolute useless to debate, cause they will always try to get the sovereignity of interpretatation.
