I like to think of these as command invokers and interest invokers.
Command invokers (commandfor) support declarative action events (click, enter key, tap).
Interest invokers (interestfor) support actions on interest (hover, keyboard focus, longpress).

As @una.im just mentioned in her #cssday talk, the CSS WG recently resolved to insert a ⓘ after EVERY SINGLE INTEREST INVOKER on touchscreens.

I wish Command Invokers had a different name that made it most easy for a web developers to understand what it is.

I started building this while on leave before interest invokers landed for origin trial. To get them to work, all I needed to do was remove all the JS and change popovertarget to interesttarget.
Feels like magic.
I know that the feature isn't quite ready yet but DANG.

Chromium has an approved I2S and WebKit should be ready to ship to preview very soon.
