I’ve felt similarly for some time now. For me, it’s fine I guess, but I want to be excited about it like I used to be. Sometimes I am! I do try to allow myself to just be in the moment when it strikes.

No matter however much it’s pointed out, it just seems to get worse. A gig that sticks out for me was Vampire Weekend in 3Arena Dublin. I find that confronting it doesn’t help the situation or your enjoyment so you’re better off moving

I don’t object to that in principle, but it’s not clear to me how it’s possible to write a law that does that without a host of unintended consequences. And that is actually constitutional.

Dude, be the opposite of this. A (very large, tall) male friend once told me he knew it’s scary for women when he walks behind them, esp at night. So he pretends to call a friend to chat & says “yeah, I’m headed to X location, walking down Central now…” so women know he’s not following them.
I go back to this experience a lot but years ago a guy who I thought wa a good dude told me he followed a woman at night because she crosse the street at night to avoid him. He was angry she was wary of him and i was like man. how would she know you're safe. You're a stranger at night.

Is this mainly a Brit thing? Apart from a bloke, half my age and 'throwing shapes' right next to me throughout a packed Tara Clerkin Trio gig, I've not seen anything annoying at gigs in Belgium/France. It's all been pretty respectful, IME.

I think it's beautiful. I bet it was fun and relaxing to do and plan. I am 70. I have played World of Warcraft since it started and I don't plan on quitting. It makes me happy.

One thing that struck me about a lot of the Renaissance art I saw yesterday (and I’m sure it’s been said before); have any of the artists from that era ever seen a real boob?

To me, it should be obvious that a machine can't experience anything like a human but can only mimic it. But mimicking is a human response too so it's probably the only human trait that AI can have?

Yup, Windows 11. Even Mac is rough in places as well at the moment, it’s genuinely making me consider spinning up a Linux distro just for KDE (which has its rough edges but was a diamond in the dumpster that is desktop Linux)
