A tough thing here though is like say the IWBTG Remaster. That was done in like 2 to 3 months or something crazy for the initial release? If they pitched their project to me for official recognition I would SO *SO* be suss about AI and maybe their dedication to details would prove otherwise, but...

Them catching strays is not something people like you need to be overly concerned about. They're on the side that won the war, so to speak. It's not like you're punching down. They can dry those "IWBTG bitch doesn't agree w/ me" tears with the overabundance of toys made exactly to their taste.

It’s so cool to see your thought process about all this. I remember when we covered IWBTG on Abject Suffering about a decade ago and you reached out, I was kind of blown away that we even warranted a response. I’m very curious what comes next :)

castlevania: belmont's curse. did not really like this and checked out mentally towards the end. it is great that Konami is publishing Castlevania games again but this game just has way too much metroid/iwbtg in it for my taste

one thing that made me hesitate to play Faith for so long is that it's sort of an action game, weirdly enough. you do need quick reflexes for monsters & bosses.
also one-hit kills, so you will see the word MORTIS a lot, BUT with very generous respawn points! no IWBTG nonsense here

Hard games should let you retry things immediately because you're going to be messing up a lot. Unforgiving games are going to punish you when you mess up, so they can't ask for too much or the whole game is just going to be punishment, and not the fun IWBTG kind where it's all a bit

i just beat Never give up pretty fun game if you like 2d hardcore precise plataforms like iwbtg or meat boy blue is a really fun character and even if i beat it on easy i am happy plus 🧸 as a prize is cool 🥰 amazing how this guys went and made cult of the lamb
