Tsukuyomi, the moon god and sibling of Amaterasu, represents the calm and mysterious nature of the night. Despite being a major deity, his aloofness and act of killing Uke Mochi, the food goddess, caused a rift with Amaterasu, separating day and night. #Tsukuyomi #JapaneseGods

Tenjin, the deified spirit of scholar Sugawara no Michizane, is the patron god of learning and literature. Students pray to Tenjin for success during exams, and his shrines are adorned with plum trees, symbolizing his connection to knowledge and resilience. #Tenjin #JapaneseGods
