i wish there was native software nowadays instead of everything in the browser. i know it's because the browser is a really good "virtual machine" like how the jvm was back in the day (still exists but a lot more things are js instead of java) but god i want to not use 400mb for basic programs

There’s a bunch of child rearing advice that’s like this. The number of things that were described as a SIDS risk with no causal explanation drove me insane (turned out most of them boiled down to variations of “don’t sit on your baby”.)
