Oh #JayVikNation, we’re really in it now…

More WIP excerpt. I am debating the POV switch to Jayce cuz it’s
Raindrops in Piltover: A JayVik WIP Excerpt by Bluesky:EmryBendyEnby, X: SilverCell11, will post on Archive of Our Own: SilverCellVioletSky However, Viktor wasn't finished, "I'm just trying to do something extraordinarily good for those people in the undercity that your damn council forgets are even down there: their citizens-your citizens & constituents, dying to survive." “Woah," Jayce leaned back slightly hands up like he was surrendering. He gave up on stopping this runaway air ship of anger and hurt. Instead he listened. "I'm trying to make some lasting difference to improve their lives before / die and become a footnote in your memoire!" The tears had begun to flow down Vik's face. ‘How is he so damn pretty when he cries? Focus.’ Jayce scolded himself for even thinking about that right now. He pulled the deep red handkerchief, monogrammed with JT in delicate gold, out of his breast pocket. He tried to dab Viktor's cheek, but the smaller man snatched it from his hand and held it in both hands in his lap, winding it through his long slender fingers as he plowed on with his monologue. Jayce sighed. "What kind of life would I be offering you? It's bad enough that I won't live long enough to grow old with someone, but even now, I live a shell of a life, all I do is work, and I love it, but it's not exactly a life worth sharing. And anyone who's with me will end up watching me decline & whither away or come home one day to find an empty apartment and a note when I decide it has gotten bad enough to be done-If l even make that call soon enough to be able to do it myself." Viktor sobbed. You don't love me. You can't. You shouldn't love me! I am a dead end of a person. You-you found out I have a vagina and am interested in you and now you're either desperately horny or delusional!" He paused to catch his breath amidst a few hacking horrible coughs.

a lot of angst & love was put into this. thank u to my amazing artist partner @alyssamariag.bsky.social you're the best🖤
An AO3 summary of the fic "The Mangled Bits of You" by inhonoredglory: "He shook his head, the absurdity of it all finally registering. “I killed Sky,” he said, a sick laugh bubbling out of his throat. The words, out of his mouth, felt like a hairline crack in the dam of unfeeling around his heart. He instinctively tried to pull out from Jayce’s grip, but Jayce’s hold on him was desperate now. Viktor felt like he was suffocating, those kind, big hands around his waist and his arm, fear and heat coursing through them. Viktor felt like a trapped animal, falling backwards into the womb, dangerous safety tempting to consume him. Viktor’s body ached to close the gap between them and chase that falsehood until his feet were raw." A dark reimagining of Arcane season 2, exploring Viktor's self-hatred, his desperate love for Jayce, and the twisted ways trauma destroys your mind and the people you love. A drawing of Jayce and Viktor holding each other in the dim light of the evening. They are both crying with their eyes closed. Viktor is peeling away Jayce’s clothes and fondling his chest. Jayce is holding up Viktor’s chin, with words in script around him reading, “Please… I won’t lose you again… Let me see you.”
