Funnily enough, I tried a marble effect today! Using masking putty instead of fibre/tissue. I'm pretty happy although the veins in the marble are on the larger side. Might be something to try :)

Marble effect.
1: brush painted off-white.
2: used a glove to protect model, and AK putty to craft "veins".
3: air brushed black, then blue from below and purple from above
4: Recover putty (before paint dries 100%)
