Thanks to this Sloop firmware, I have decided to pick up an M-Wave FM-1 instead of a Roland JD-Xi.
I could not justify the €600 spend of the JDXi when an €89 device will now meet my needs instead.

Probably going to get a sampler/drum machine sequencer

Too hot to go in my studio/room so I broken out the little Roland Jdxi and brought in here to play for a bit.
Synthy goodness, oh yes.

A string machine from the late 70s with a moog filter on the brass that makes the juiciest funk tones and the piano setting sounds like instant Boards of Canada. I traded mine for an Alpha Juno and a JDXI and a loop pedal.

I had to trade my RX11 for a Novation Mininova last year. I copped a JDXI for vocoding and it's the muddiest. Kept my TR505 and blend it with Casio SK1 loaded with RX samples.

Minimoog Voyager Blue, Minilogue, JDXI or Mininova (depending on level of apologetics for fm/digital)

I like it. My music desk for the small synths is more or less just a chaotic bunch of devices and cables... Really need to clean up and update and optimize it....

I've been using synch. Works a treat. Never could get the MIDI out though.
Until now.

My daughter, who has many excellent qualities (and has made me a pincushion replica of a Roland jdxi and a storage box decorated as a DSI Mopho), calls the cord that plugs from a phone charger to the phone a 'charger'.
This infuriates me no end.

Of things that I think would kinda fuck particularly in whippy feedback mode:
Modal Cycles
the JDXI mono synth layer
behringer TD3-MO
