Supporting characters include their children Rick Gordon, Jedda Walker, Kshin, Mandrake's assistant Lothar, and Lothar's son L.J. The show lasted for 65 episodes; there was also a short-lived comic book series published by Star Comics, created by Gerry Conway, Ross Andru and John Romita, Sr.. The closing credits credit Rob Walsh and Tony Pastor for the main title music, and Stan Lee for the lyrics. The series was later shown in reruns on the Sci Fi Channel as part of Sci Fi Cartoon Quest.

My friend and fellow blogger/photographer Jedda wrote this on her blog last year: > I love seeing the small, “unremarkable” every day things. Whether it is your favorite bookstore, the bus stop you wait at every morning, or the flowers that bloom in your neighborhood. Yes, even that view from your kitchen window that you might not notice anymore. The thing is, all of that is a reminder that the ordinary isn’t actually ordinary when you put it in front of someone else’s eyes. This sums up a lot of the format I’m seeking with my new Instagram account. I just want to see those little moments in life. The everyday kind of things. I don’t want to see the things that social media has become plagued by, the things that are meant to rob your attention span. Give me normal, digestible life. Jedda reached out to me today, since she knows my stance on this, suggesting the photo app Retro. It’s frankly a beautiful app, and I could see myself enjoying using it. Retro is basically a photo journal that you can share with your friends. It nudges you to share at least once a week, and you’re only presented with content from friends you follow. You can apply filters and other styles, and there’s even an option to send postcards of your photos to your friends. It’s all a really cool concept. Here’s the issue with Retro, at least for me. I can guarantee you I don’t know anyone using it. Without the participation of my friends, there is absolutely no reason for me to partake in this app. It would just be me, sitting there with an app taking up space on my phone. I’ve done this before. Do you remember the social app called Path? If you don’t, Path was a mobile-first photo-sharing and messaging service launched in 2010 that focused on private sharing with a small, intimate network of close friends and family. It was designed as a more personal alternative to larger platforms like Facebook, initially limiting users to 50 friends to encourage authentic sharing. It was discontinued in 2018. Path was a well-designed app and a pleasure to use. You could share anything from a simple status update, a photo, when you woke up or went to bed, a song you were listening to, a TV show or movie you were watching, or check in at a location. Basically, it was a timeline of your life. It was more fun with friends. In my case, I got two people to use it with me. Two! It was my first glimpse of seeing just how hard it was to get people to leave a major social media platform, because nobody wants to move from something all their friends already exist on. Even if there’s a better alternative, and believe me, there are better platforms than anything owned by Meta or Musk, it’s like pulling teeth to get them to leave. Few of my personal friends blog either. I’ve tried. All of that said, I enjoy some sense of sanity. So, I’ll keep this blog going and I keep my Instagram account simple. Social media is basically dying, as interest/attention media has taken over. Maybe an app like Retro can win in the next few years. I’d like to see it actually. I made an account just in case.
