Astounding traditional Chinese artworks of the Cretaceous invertebrates from the Jehol (远古小精灵系列), featured at the Nanjing Paleontological Museum.

Glad to see creative representation of insects in palaeontology.

Working on this Jeholornis, an avian dinosaur from the early Cretaceous in China. It´s enjoying some late season Ginkgo fruit. I added some insects from the Jehol formation as well, but am thinking of adding some more. Any suggestions anyone?

Dinosaurs for #FossilFriday ! COSI teamed up with the AMNH to put together a permanent exhibit on dinosaurs a few years back. This Stegosaurus gets to gaze in wonder at the Jehol biota 24/7, at least when the lights are on. 🧪⚒️🦖🦕🪶 🧵

By feather on a dinosaur, do you mean the hundreds of Jehol Biota fossils with feathers preserved in their natural place? Sinosauropteryx preserved the melanosomes where we can even accurately infer color of these animals. I suggest googling your ideas to see if they have any support before posting.

The Jehol exhibit is really spectacular, with detailed signage and representative fossils to back up the artistic reconstruction.

The back end of the exhibit is all feathered dinosaurs, and we'll visit them again soon.
