Ironically Dimileth are the hardest. If we go by powers and ignore personalities, Gojo is perfect for Byleth. Dimitri is a mix of Yuiji, Yuta, & Maki (post skip). But I like preskip Maki for Ingrid. Kugisaki-Annette, Nanami-Jeralt, Inomaki-Dedue. Hm who should be the dark tsundere with dad issues?

I really like that Epimenides essentially homebrewed their own mediator. And Agartha having their own mediator but Shez's mama escaping with the baby is such a parallel to Jeralt escaping with Byleth and it makes me wanna scream in a very positive way.

admittedly this is complicated because Three Hopes implies the opposite, i just prefer the interpretation that she's basically a full Crest Stone bearer and all that implies (in part because accepting that she's got a finite lifespan has weird implications for Sitri, Jeralt and Byleth)

one of my favourite unstated-but-not-unrealistic pieces of fanon for Three Houses is that Edelgard is probably going to live an insanely long time, since Jeralt is over 300 years old merely from getting a blood tranfusion and she got both that AND a crest implant

Jeralt definitely molested leonie though, possibly as a substitute for byleth. I think he felt pretty guilty about it but look, she really wanted it (perennial line of bastards everywhere). Leonie possibly tells byleth about this to make her jealous but it doesn't work. Shes just sad for her.

Byleth isn't winning because I'm revising my opinion of her molestation backstory. I think the mercenary troupe + jeralt WANTED to fuck her, and their longing for that was everpresent in her life, but no one ever acted on it or if they did they were killed by either jeralt or byleth herself

I personally read Gaitz as being more similar to Jeralt than Dimitri, but really it doesn't matter outside of the trivia of it so I'll bow out here. Hope you keep having fun with the game. I'm having a blast and it is a huge step up from Three Houses gameplay-wise.

Jeralt, Gaitz, and Dimitri's hair colors respectively. Jeralt and Gaitz's are much closer in tone to my eyes, but I also know different people see colors differently so 🤷♀️

Also Jeralt doesn’t have blue eyes, he has brown. As seen with Peppe, Io, and Ursula, they are very straight forward with the relations to other characters

No they don't. Byleth was never unfeeling. The point is them initially not being that great at outwardly showing how they feel resulting in people believing them to be unfeeling. Of course they're still naturally taciturn bc of everything. But not even Jeralt saw them in that light.
