Fantastic Four 250 remains a milestone in Marvel comics history. We break down the alien conspiracy and John Byrne's iconic run. This 1982 issue showcases the First Family facing a complex alien conspiracy when Skrulls infiltrate the X-Men. Written and illustrated by John Byrne with inks by Terry Austin, the story features high-stakes action against Gladiator and cameos from Spider-Man and Captain America. It serves as a perfect example of how the creative team returned the series to its roots of cosmic exploration and family dynamics. Beyond the narrative, we examine why this installment holds enduring appeal for those involved in comic book collecting. While market prices fluctuate, the issue serves as a key piece of 1980s comic book history that revitalized the franchise. We also look at the production context that made this specific run a touchstone for readers.
