EVERYONR STOP USING JSONL MY SSD BEGS YOU
hi. I know anthropic employees follow me. please, please, please, let me actively snip/cultivate my context w/o compacting. I've had to do it with additional Claude sessions to reach into jsonl to redact images >2000px, and I'd like to also be able to snip files. without jsonl kludges & incantation
wtb being able to selectively punt out of context specific file reads, like /context recommends you do *and then gives you no actual option to do that*

i really like the jsonl + sqlite idea here. and i think that this does feel better than other "store issues in your git history" strategies

I think all coding agents should store session logs in an actual database and not as 9999999 jsonl files
I want to be able to ask "how often have you used this skill/tool and for what" without it needing to rederive the session path, the log format, loop over all 9999999 files, etc.

i made a macos desktop visualizer that looks for claude process activity (cpu, memory, and scans the jsonl files it generates) and turns it into a milkdrop-esque background. there's a few different options but i think i like this one best.

Argh. Protocol buffers don't let you glom multiple messages into the same byte stream. Gonna have to fall back to jsonl I guess!
