How common is it to code gen Typescript or pydantic types from JSONSchema?
@kinlane.bsky.social published a sharp piece worth reading: if the model can generate the API, why do you still need the standards? He traces the same mistake from SOAP/WSDL. The deterministic artifacts (#OpenAPI, #Arazzo, #JSONSchema, #AsyncAPI) are what make a generated API something governable

So I've mentioned that I'm working on a new library for extremely pluggable/composable LLM workflows, especially agentic ones. I'm getting closer to opening that up. One thing that underpins this is the ability to use NimbleOptions for function calling and structured outputs via JSONSchema. 1/2

This looks great - but tbh., I'm very sad that the choice for schemas went to "zod only" instead of "Standard Schema" (I know, probably not possible until JSONStandardSchema is a thing) or at least "JSONSchema or zod".

semi-related, but I was very impressed with typify for jsonschema stuff (bringing it back to the original thread, I was using it for the MCP spec)

Pretty common but if one of these languages is the “main” one, it might be more desirable to generate JSONSchema from Pydantic/TS and generate the models for other language from JSONSchema. It’s more about where you want the source of truth should be.
