Comic panel looking down on a road with traffic (1920s cars), in a red open-top sports car are two characters: the passenger (Sir Alfred Catesby-Grey) says "That poor girl", the driver (Julius Chancer) says: "I'm in shock. I need to get home for a strong tea.", Sir Alfred says: "How about a trip to the seaside instead?", and Julius says "Seaside?".

Part of a comic strip panel - the gate of New Scotland Yard in the 1920s, in the foreground a red car (a Mercedes SSK) is parked, while two figures walk off from it towards a pillared opening, flanked by archways, leading to a large stone building. A woman in 1920s fashion walks towards us in the foreground and a policeman in his great coat is just coming out of the gate; the golden hue of the trees and leaves on the ground indicate it is autumn.

Panel from a comic strip in a ligne claire style - four figures (a man, Julius Chancer, in a cream jacket, and three women - Lily Lawrence and Mei-Mei in 1920s dresses, and an actor in bright red trousers and a green waistcoat) walk and talk as they meander backstage at a theatre, flats, old paint tins, boxes, sacks and bits lying around.
