The boardwalk crosses grassy slopes, with rocks and small boulders strewn here and there. There are few people in the photo. The boardwalk goes from the lower left corner of the photo and advances for about 300 meters. At its end begins the steeper part of the mountains, which rises about 1500 meters (5000 ft) from the valley floor. The upper half of the mountains is covered with ice and snow, and there are a couple of streams coming down. The sky is overcast.
