Women were only in some support roles (drivers/clerks etc) until 1984 when WRAAC was finally disbanded + women were transferred into previously all male corps. Women only began recruit trg at Kapooka or Officer training with males in the same year. I was Corps transferred to RAEME

Note to Councils who organise these services.
The Dawn Service is meant to be in darkness. Not lit up like the MCG. The best Dawn Service I have been to was at Kapooka just before we marched out. Councils should learn from them.
