These West Coast Lupines (Lupinus polyphyllus) are poison for the Karner Blue Butterfly, whose host is the native Sundial Lupine (L perennis).

Dame's Rocket (Hesperis matronalis) has the 4 petals characteristic of a mustard. One of those horribly invasive mustards that takes over in monoculture.
The many (>=11) palmately lobed leaves, blue pea-type (Fabiaceae) flowers and tall floral spike of an invasive (in the Northeastern US) Bigleaf Lupine (Hesperis matronalis). Tree removal areas are missing woody shrubs like blueberry and oaks that are characteristic of these barrens. But there was also a lot of progress - ecosystem structure has largely recovered, and the population of rare and threatened species like the #KarnerBlue butterfly are healthier.
