kayrasaurus is recovered as an early-diverging therizinosaurian, falling just outside of therizinosauroidea; like its contemporary beipiaosaurus, the holotype was not fully grown when it died, though it is the largest therizinosaurian known from the yixian formation at this time

Oo, that thumbnail is really bad. It appears to be working with the already inaccurate Jurassic World model for Therizinosaurus, a relative of the new Kayrasaurus.

Oo, that thumbnail is really bad. It appears to be working with the already inaccurate Jurassic World model for Therizinosaurus, a relative of the new Kayrasaurus.

새로 발견된 백악기 초기의 테리지노사우루스류 공룡, 카이라사우루스 (Kayrasaurus changliensis)가 발표됨!
상당히 우수한 보존률인데, 많은 테리지노사우루스류 공룡들에게서 발견되지 않았던 두개골이 온전하게 나와서 아주 중요한 발견인 것 같네요.
