Friendship

Sometimes, you do stuff you're not sure you'll like for your friends. This was one of those times; Kel is not a fan of fishing.

feat. @lazzyran.bsky.social's adorable Red Cat!

| #kelevieratales | #gpose | #viera | #gposecomic
A red-haired Miqo'te grins while casting a fishing line out. A black and red-haired Viera speaks, looking mildly annoyed as she reels in her line. "Damnit! You seriously find this enjoyable?!"

Lkhagvasuren now has a full bag on her back and sunglasses, and appears to be in a street shootout with police. Dialogue Box reads: Lkhagvasuren - " WHERE'S THE VAN?!!?!"

So, following the trend of making self-congratulating (but also "hidden") tags and moving away from official ones for comics, I'm gonna go through and re-tag all my comics with #kelevieratales because that's the best name I could come up with.

But also, new comic in a few minutes. 🤫

And with that, I'm finally done spamming your timelines with old comics.

All of Kelevra's "canon stories" are now tagged under the #kelevieratales tag, so if you're like "Boo, comics, these suck!" you can mute the tag! Or view it if you'd prefer to skip my shitposts.

"New Experiences"

On the recommendation of an unspecified, brown-haired adventurer, Kelevra sets off around Ul'Dah to check out some of the various combat guilds.

| #kelevieratales | #gpose | #viera | #gposecomic
A Viera surveys the city of Ul'Dah, thinking to herself. Text box reads as follows: Kelevra: "Maybe bows aren't your calling. Pfft, know-nothing adventurer. But...maybe I'll check out some of the Guilds around town.." The Viera thinks to herself "No..." while stabbing a training dummy with a shortsword and a shield on her arm. The Viera thinks to herself "No.." while punching a training dummy with some kind of brass knuckle weapon, and wincing in pain. A Viera enters an active stance, holding what appears to be a wand behind her back.

A golden scaled Au Ra is deftly navigating between many lasers, her tail bent towards the camera. Dialogue Box reads: Kelevra - "There's going to be security the likes of which we've never seen, so we'll definitely someone powerful, agile, and quick - maybe a background in acrobatics." The same picture as the previous panel, but black and white, with "Angie" in large gold letters across the middle. A smiling Elezen with purple hair has a large sledgehammer slung over her shouders, with a series of mammets hanging off it and around her. Dialogue Box reads: Kelevra - "Demolition teams can be hard to come by, but if you know the right person, she IS the team. Well, her and her army of Studium destroying mammets..." The same picture as the previous panel, but black and white, with "Irein" in large purple blue letters across the middle.

Kelevra looks down, a possibly tired, annoyed look on her face. She now looks up, a a clearly annoyed look on her face. She looks to her left at Frinkalkan Palemoon, staring back at Kel with a giant, fake smile plastered on her face. Text box reads as follows: Kelevra: *annoyed silence* Kel gestures angrily at a Namazu holding a pillow with what appears to be a Frin in lingerie printed on it. Text box reads as follows: Kelevra: "Guð hjálpi mér, (God help me) trying to ignore what appears to be slave labour, is this seriously what you dragged me across the world to do? Make pillows?! Frinkalkan: Okay, first off; this is NOT the worst thing it could have been. Second, my name and face are attached to these! I need them to be immaculate, every single one! The same picture as the previous panel, but black and white, with "Arli...and Smalls" in large navy blue letters across the middle. We return to the bar with Kelevra and Kai-Shirr speaking. A Viera in a suit looks down at a map, while a concerned, blue haired Mi'qote speaks to her. Dialogue box reads: Kai-Shirr - "So that's the rundown. It has to be clean, it has to be quiet, and it can't look like we had anything to do with it. It's impossible!" Kai-Shirr sits down dejectedly, while the Viera begins to speak with a grin, her eye focused on the map. Dialogue box reads: Kelevra - "Oh, it can be done. You just need... the right team." A red Au Ra in a black suit jumps into a portal, superhero landing inside a treasure vault. Dialogue box reads: Kelevra - "How do you break into a place that's never been broken into? Easy - just find a hells-powered mercenary with questionable loyalty, but even more questionable morals." Make sure the utmost quality is maintained - work for a few months, and head back to that Elezen-filled rock popsicle a much richer woman. Frin stares at a narrow-eyed Kelevra with big eyes and large pout. Text box reads as follows: Frin: "PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE? For me, your good friend Frin??" Kel doesn't let up her gaze, but speaks. Frins eyes light up as a big smile spreads on her face. Text box reads as follows: Frin: "PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-" Kelevra: "Guðs, fine." Frin: "Fantastic! Whatever you need, just tell me and I'll make it happen." Kelevra stares down at the pillow now in her hands with wide eyes, seeing the other side of it. Sometimes we throw on a brave face. Sometimes our own greed - our want for one anothers company - is the part that gets left unsaid.

Averil realizes in the final moments that this may not have been the happy memories she'd hoped to make.

Text boxes read as follows: Kelevra: "Well, I'm training. This is how I learn." Stranger: "Assuredly. However, a shortbow is much easier for beginners." Kelevra: "Who said I'm a beginner?" The camera cuts to the training dummy as the man speaks off-screen. There are several arrows short of the target, with a few in the walls behind the target, and one in a completely different target. An expression of gratitude - of friendship. For once, things seem to have ended up well for the Vieran seamstress in a new place.

Averil and Kelevra embrance in a close hug, the signs of a smile on Averil's face are blocked by the arm of Kelevra. Kelevra "Thank you for being my friend."

The same picture as the previous panel, but black and white, with "Frinkalkan" in large pink letters across the middle. Two Mi'qote men, one cheerful, with blonde hair, an open white shirt, and brown pants, and the other more dour, with grey hair, and black clothing. Kelevra - "No team is complete without a duo that can do it all. Judes of all trades, as they say." The camera shifts, showing Jude and Two standing in front of a door sealed from the side they're on with a wooden beam. Longbows are...tribulations." Kelevra returns her arrow to her quiver as she speaks. I just need to practice with it more, that's all." The man uncrosses his arms. Text box reads as follows: Stranger: "Yes, I'm sure the youth of the Golmore Jungle are very adept archers, but you're in Eorzea now. Tradition has its place, but you choose your own path here. Maybe your calling lies elsewhere. Then again, what do I know? I'm just a stranger passing through." The man strides away, leaving Kelevra with her thoughts and a wave.
