“The Way I Think” acrylic and marker. I create these doodles while I am talking on the phone. In a strange way it helps me to focus on the conversation. Anyone else do this? #ArtAdventCalendar

A photo of the work bench in my studio. It is covered in a hundred + items! The main focus of the photo is the brightly colored/patterned origami paper that is getting folded into cranes. Also in the picture: bottle of paint, brayers and jars filled with paint brushes. I tend to work well amongst the chaos. Thanks for reading. Diane

Beautiful colors this morning. #KenaiAlaska #darkfruitfly
A photo from my deck that looks out to the Kenai River in Kenai Alaska. Google Earth Angler Drive, Kenai, Alaska and you will see where we are on the river. The colors in the sky are beautiful. Sunrise doesn’t happen for a couple more hours but there are shades of blue, orange and pink showing through already. Beautiful. The birch trees silhouette black in the foreground. Collecting rosehips this past fall. I love the colors and the sweet taste. #KenaiAlaska #rosehips #gatherer
This is a picture of all of the rosebuds that I harvested from my back yard on the Kenai River in Kenai, Alaska. Each rose hip is a beautiful hue of red. They have sharp little “hairs” on one end of the hip. So the way I eat the sweet “paste” inside is to just squeeze the “paste out the other end. Rose hips can be made into sauces like catsup and barbecue sauce. Lots of natural vitamin C! Thanks for reading, Diane This is a picture of my hand getting ready to harvest rose hips from an Alaskan Wild Rose bush. I am wearing a very old and frayed carhart jacket. Thanks for reading, Diane
