Only Day 2 into 2026 and I have to address this once again:
It’s fine to love the first Kung Fu Panda movies.
It’s fine to not love KFP4.
It’s not cool to act like KFP4 doesn’t exist.
This goes for all media that exists that we may not like - bc at the end of the day, someone *cared* to make them.

I especially remember before "Kung Fu Panda 4" was released, people were saying that Universal wasn't advertising that movie at all and were setting it to fail...only for KFP4 to have by far the second best opening weekend in the franchise.

There's a reason Kung Fu Panda gives Monkey like only 2 lines every movie (Or in the case of KFP4, none)
Doubtful since people forget Jackie Chan is also bigoted and is estranged from his lesbian daughter. Even Michelle Yeoh has publicly stated she doesn't fuck with him
What if Jackie Chan says "no" to Rush Hour 4? Could that kill the project?

Gonna add that I worked on KFP4 and was bombarded with bullying, demanding messages like what’s happening for Shrek 5 right now, with the same “pull a Sonic” excuse behind it all. It’s not funny or cute - it’s deeply hurtful to the folks working on it. Wait for a film to be done before you judge it.
Side note: Can we STOP with the “let’s bully the studio like we did with Sonic” on EVERYTHING that comes out in animation? The Sonic change was an entirely different situation than this. Just bc you personally don’t like the style ≠ bully the team until you do. Give it a chance to prove itself.
