I think some ideas are just persistent and either stay front and center or show up again and again. Or a new idea drags a previous idea back up and shows the start of a pattern that starts to make sense. #KidLitChat

I have too many ideas & some feel super random so I dont aways know where they belong right away. I put them in a notebook until I find their home. Then a couple ideas will just start sticking together like rubber cement, & then a couple more glob on, until it's a big ball of goodness. #KidLitChat

Little late here, #kidlitchat, but interesting question! I have a couple ideas marinating. Sometimes I write them down or create a folder on my computer. But they mostly wait in a queue. I brainstorm multiple book ideas, but I draft them one at a time.
TOPIC: It's the fall equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere - bringing to mind harvesting ideas and storing them up for winter. Do you stockpile ideas, characters, words, or anything? And how do you decide which idea of yours is ripe for starting? #kidlitchat

Yeah, I'm going to do that. I'm wanting to take my grandson to a "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten" celebration at the library tomorrow morning, so I need to be rested well enough to be able to venture out of the house tomorrow. 'Night everyone! Thanks for another lovely #KidLitChat <3

I write all of my first drafts in spiral notebooks too. I used to save the prettiest ones for "special projects" but then I never found anything special enough. Now, it just makes me smile to write in my prettiest notebooks on the regular! #KidLitChat
