Kiht in Porta Decumana after Lahabrea kills you. She stands still, face shocked as she is compelled to clasp her hands together in prayer. A gaping hole tears through her torso, large strings of clotting blood hanging down from it. There is a splatter of blood on her face and hair, as she stares vacantly ahead. Hydaelyn's hands grip her shoulders.

#kihtpoe | #kihtlore | #g'raha
G'raha stands in Mor Dhona, reaching up at the midday sky, clear and blue. His form blurs with the Exarch's, both their expressions troubled at this new life. The Crystal Tower looms in the background, G'raha almost reaching for it. Both forms converge into one, the current G'raha on the source. He turns back, face obscured to look behind him. His ears are pinned to his head as he makes eye contact with Kiht in the background, draped in shadow. Her hand is placed on the stone wall. G'raha's view of Kiht blurs - the Kiht he sees before him, the Kiht he met during the crystal tower raids, and the Kiht he knew on the First. All three versions of Kiht stare down at him with a negative expression - a mix of anger and guilt. From Kiht's perspective, the shadow of the Exarch looms next to G'raha, an ever present reminder.

kiht and ysayle were dating, but what they wanted was incredibly different. ysayle dumped kiht for a variety of reasons, she was immature, stubborn, clingy, & her views didn't change quick enough. kiht was head over heels in a very unhealthy way, like fantasizing about them getting married

Something I've always been curious about, has your WoL ever broken up with a ship before?
Did you just move on from the ship or did you actually have it break up officially?

passage of the torch
#kihtpose | #kihtlore | #ardbert
Ardbert and Kiht in the Pendants - Ardbert reluctantly leads Kiht in a dance, semi transparent as the twirl around and he dips them. Kiht, head thrown back, stares off with a wide-eyed expression, eyes and mouth glowing with light aether. Behind them, the window shows off the everlasting light, cut through with the night sky centered on Ardbert as he sorrowfully looks down at Kiht.

#kihtpose | #kihtlore | #menphina
In the Omphalos, Kiht stands before Menphina. They look up at her, standing defensively with a pained expression. "Where have you been? Where /have/ you been?" "I am here now" Menphina states, looking down at Kiht. Her gaze is neutral, but changes to sadness as Kiht continues speaking. "Where were you 5 years ago? 10? When my clan died praying for you to save them?" 5 years ago refers to the start of A Realm Reborn, and 10 for the calamity in my personal timeline. A shot of a younger Kiht, no eyebags and her natural eye colors. She's smiling. "Where were you when I was young and had faith?" Back to the Omphalos, Kiht crouches down on their knees and holds their arms together, crying as Menphina steps down and starts to walk towards them. "How dare you? Why must you come to me now, when I am /this?/" Menphina comes to Kiht, on her knees as she places an arm on Kiht. Kiht leans into her touch, draping herself over her goddess' lap. A tear streams down Kiht's face, "Who could I be if I did not forgive you?"

Ysayle kisses her thumb in front of Kiht. She has a concentrated look on her face. The two are in Ishgard. Ysayle presses her thumb to Kiht's lips, and Kiht looks up at her with furrowed brows. Ysayle moves to hold Kiht's cheek in one hand, caressing her as she says goodbye. The shot zooms out a little more as Ysayle walks away, and Kiht looks after her. She's dropped her staff to the ground with shock

Kiht, standing hunched over in the pendants, drips Light aether from her mouth. It pools on the floor, and some of it got on her shirt. Her necklaces lays on the ground, cord snapped as Kiht ripped it off. Her single eye is glowing, and she looks at the camera in angry pain.

Taro, on his knees, hugs Kiht tightly in Camp Broken Glass. His gunblade is tossed to the ground. Kiht wraps her arms around him, but stands there still in shock from the events of in from the cold. Garlemald looms in the background ominously, and a flickering streetlamp above them illuminates red light onto Kiht.

growing up in dravania kiht was exposed to dragons at a young age, mainly to treat them with as much respect as possible being the original inhabitants of the land. her small clan of keepers actually had some trade agreements with local wyrms and the gnath to ensure their presence in dravania was peaceful and beneficial to all parties (mainly wares and game). Imagine how you treat bears in the wild, etc, keep a safe distance, don’t be stupid. It wasn’t until after the calamity that the dragons in dravania started to get more aggressive, i hc it as a sense of the culmination of the dragonsong war. Due to kiht’s own inexperience, her father was slain by a dragon whose territory they had wandered into after the calamity. Kiht blames herself but directed that blame on dragons as a whole, rather than reflect on her eagerness and inexperience. Having lost most of her family through death or them leaving she isolates herself and goes off the deep end w/ focusing on her ideal revenge, leading her to first travel to ishgard to become a dragoon and get denied entry, then being told of the lancer’s guild in gridania and travelling there. I wrote most of her backstory while i was playing hw so i realize now i kind of just stole estinien’s backstory and arc. Sorry buddy
