After nearly an hour of tense stand-off, two Kingfishers fight over territory on the River Kelvin in Glasgow this afternoon. This an adult male and a juvenile. This kind of aggression has been seen here several times in recent weeks. #birds

Kingfishers are so cool. I'm glad I get to see the extinct-in-the-wild Guam kingfishers at the San Diego Zoo.

I see them all the time but they're kingfishers as far as having a comfort zone that's just outside my camera's sharp focus zone.

Obtaining clear views of Common Kingfishers Alcedo atthis in a small London park has been difficult so far this autumn #birds as there is still so much foliage obscuring many of their favoured perches. This was the best angle that I was able to get of a distant male this morning.

It was the perfect morning, the Ravens came early, lots of Winter Thrushes, Kingfishers, beautiful scenery & the icing on the cake my first patch Fly Agaric. I have been seeing all the beautiful photos of them & wishing I could see one. It was deep in private woodland, so lucky to have spotted it!
