In case anyone is unfamiliar, kinusaiga is when you press fabric into a design cut into foam or wood to make an image/pattern.

Naturally, I decided the best way to do it the first time ever was to pick an image with teeny tiny details and include rigging on the ship on 5mm thick foam😅

I found my closest ‘new to me’ fabric store and bought a bunch of fat quarters to use for the backgrounds of my kinusaiga pieces - so yeah, I guess you can’t have too much fabric or thread or other art supplies… #SciArt #Fiberart #Fabric
